Privacy policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
Oceana’s Hideout Bar & Grill (“The Hideout,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), 417 Bourbon St., New Orleans, LA 70130, operates the website hideoutbarnola.com (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Website, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
By using the Website, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us
The Website has two forms: the private event inquiry form and the contact form. When you use them, we collect what you choose to send:
- Contact details: your name, email address and phone number
- Event details (event form only): preferred and alternate dates, start time, number of guests, the space and type of event you’re interested in, your company or organization, and how you heard about us
- Your message and anything else you write in the form
Please do not send payment card numbers or other sensitive information through the forms. We never ask for them there.
1.2 Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. We use it to keep the Website running, secure and free of abuse.
When you send a form, we also record the page you sent it from and the time, and we use your IP address to limit how many messages can be sent per hour (a spam protection).
1.3 Cookies, analytics and browser storage
The Website does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics services. If we add analytics (for example Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel) to understand how the Website is used, we will update this policy first.
The Website stores one small item in your browser’s local storage when you close a promotional pop-up, so the same pop-up is not shown to you again for a few days. It contains no personal information.
1.4 Maps and the virtual tour
The map and the 360° virtual tour are not loaded until you tap them. When you do, your browser connects to Google (for the map) or TourMKR (for the tour), and those companies may collect information, such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies.
2. How we use your information
- To answer your questions and private event inquiries, and to plan and run your event
- To keep the Website and our forms working, secure and free of spam
- To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
We do not use your form submissions to send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- With our team: form submissions are emailed to the staff who handle inquiries at The Hideout.
- With service providers who run the Website for us, such as our web hosting company, which stores the Website, the email it sends and a private copy of each form submission on its servers.
- For legal reasons: if required by law, court order or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our guests, staff or others.
- In a business transfer: if the business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
4. How long we keep it
We keep form submissions as long as needed to respond to you, plan your event and keep reasonable business records, and then delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
5. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information you sent through the Website by emailing contactus@hideoutbarnola.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to know what we hold about you or to object to certain uses; we will honor them as the law requires and will not treat you differently for using them.
6. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and storing form copies outside the public part of our web server. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Website is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Links to other websites
The Website links to other sites, such as our Facebook page, our job listings on isolved, Google Maps, TourMKR and our sister restaurants’ websites. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
